Well, at least for now, this is an anonymous blog, as my wife isn't in a place to make her past public knowledge. I respect that and as such will never put any information that could link to us or that past. However, I am frustrated by the help and support that is available, for her, me and our family, and want to see if it's just us or is this a common problem in the UK.
So we are a small family, based in the UK. My wife is a survivor of abuse from 1 blood relative and 1 step relative. The relative lives locally and until recently was in contact, however when the abuse started on our children then she decided that all ties needed to be cut and she has been seeking help to finally close that chapter of her life and start living the best life possible, considering what she has been through to get here.
We also have 2 children, one with complex learning disabilities and one with severe anxiety and potential neurodivergence issue.
So I will be discussing lots of things in this blog, as I need a release, my mental health is not deemed complex enough for psychiatric input, but to severe for wellbeing and self-referral pathways. So this will be my sounding board. Please feel free to comment if you can relate to what I am saying, have a helpful suggestion, or feel like being supportive. Don't try to be negative or hurtful as this will lead to being blocked from the blog.
I will try to post daily, but life is busy and stressful, so please give me so leeway if some days there is nothing. Hope you gain something from my blog and it can help me get some suggestions and/or advice as how to survive/get through the issues that face my family and I at the moment.
